As a mom myself, I understand that kids can have their own ideas about how things should go.
I’ll use fun prompts, games, and plenty of patience to help them feel relaxed and happy.
My approach is to let kids be themselves so we can capture their genuine personalities.

Coordinate, but don't be all “matchy-matchy"!
Instead of all wearing the same outfit or same colors, coordinate your clothes to complement each other. This means choosing things with similar colors, patterns, or textures.
Select a color scheme:
Pick a color palette that works well together and choose outfits based on that. Coordinating colors makes the photos look cohesive and well-planned.
Consider where you are having your pictures taken:
Think about the location look well with the surroundings. For example, if the photos will be taken in a grassy meadow or native grass field choose colors that will stand out.
Staying away from green in the summertime is always a great idea. You don’t want to blend in with the surrounding grass and trees.
Think about the season:
Choose outfits that are appropriate for the time of year. For example, if the photos will be taken in the winter, consider wearing layers, scarves, and boots. In the fall think about choosing warm sweaters and cozy autumn colors.
Avoid logos and graphics:
Words and logos distract from the face.
Avoid wearing clothing with logos, graphics, or words as they can be bold and take away from the overall look of the photo.
Dress for your body type:
Choose outfits that flatter your body type and make you feel confident.
Feeling good in what you are wearing is most important!! Be true to your self.
Also, kids really don’t like to feel uncomfortable and teens should wear what they like! A teenager in an outfit they dislike will never be happy about the pictures!
Avoid neon and very bright colors:
Bright colors can be harsh and distracting in photos. Stick to softer, more muted colors instead.
Consider the patterns:
If you choose to wear patterns, make sure they are not too busy or distracting.
Choose one or two people to wear patterns at most -and make sure they complement each other.
Don't forget about accessories:
Accessories can add an extra element to your outfit and make the photos more interesting. Consider adding scarves, hats, or jewelry.
Try on your outfits beforehand:
Have everyone try on the outfits beforehand to make sure they fit well and are comfortable. This will help you avoid any last-minute wardrobe malfunctions.
