Governor's Pavilion Wedding | Mr. and Mrs. Monts

Claire and Brody Monts’ Governor’s Pavilion wedding day, was perfect in so many ways.

In fact, I wish I could bottle up so many things from Mr. and Mrs. Monts’ wedding day to share with every other bride and groom I ever work with.

They became husband and wife on May 27, 2023. May God bless them and grow their love for one another for all the years to come!

What made this Wolcott Indiana, Governor’s Pavilion, wedding day so incredible?

The weather on this Memorial Day weekend wedding was absolutely perfect.  Warm and sunny, but not hot.  Low humidity with a gentle breeze. It was the definition of perfect summer weather.  It was the kind of day I imagine the weather to be like in heaven!

The JOY this couple had to be getting married permeated everything!  Their families came together to help with their day and the teamwork was evident everywhere you looked. The love of family was evident in the way they worked together to create this deeply special day.

Everything about this wedding fit the bride and groom’s personalities. This was a gorgeous DIY wedding and Claire thought of every detail.  She is incredibly organized and gifted with planning. Not only was everything beautiful, but the day went so smoothly!

Brody and Claire, along with their families and friends, did almost everything themselves for their wedding day. Claire made the flower arrangements and made and printed the invitations. Brody worked on the reception decor. Brody's dad made the food. Claire's grandpa cut the wood rounds for the tables at the reception as well as built the wedding ceremony altar arbor. Claire's mom and sister helped with the decor and so much more!  The local high school culinary students served the dinner. They would not have been able to have their special day without everyone's help! They are so very thankful for the village that helped them.

This wedding had a very special level of genuineness that I’m having trouble trying to put into words.  Yes, it was beautiful and the details were well thought out but- it didn’t feel like any kind of “show”.  It felt so deeply a genuine celebration of joy and love rather than any kind of “event production”.  Anyone there was drawn into the special monumental moment of this couple’s life.

Children and dogs were in the wedding.  Yes, they were both big parts of the day.  Claire has been a Nanny for a few years and wanted all “her kids” to be a part of her day.  They served as flower girls and ring security! She also made sure that her reception was kid-friendly with activities, bubbles, and light sabers to be enjoyed.    She even had a special “kids dance” at the start of the reception.

Dogs?  Claire and Brody are the proud “fur baby” parents of two adorable dogs that stood up with them during the wedding.  Of course, they had to get a “family picture” with their fur babies, too!

Claire and Brody met online in January 2021.  They both knew right away that they had met “their person”.  One of the main themes of their relationship has been the way they bring the best out of each other and have helped each other grow.  Together they are better.

Claire and Brody have a deep passion for life and for loving each other and their family.  They are looking forward to married life, going on more adventures together, and starting a family of their own.

The Governor’s Pavilion is a beautiful historic white barn in rural Indiana just off of I65 about halfway between Indianapolis and Chicago.  There is an optional house that can be added to the package.  This house is a wonderful getting-ready area.

The wedding day photo coverage ended with a champagne spray and pictures with another one of Claire’s favorite things- COWS!!

Mr. and Mrs. Monts danced the night away with Bennett Sounds, LLC as their DJ.

Enjoy the pictures from Mr. and Mrs. Mont's Memorial Day DIY wedding at The Govenor’s Pavillion, Wolcott, Indiana. This wedding was a pure delight to photograph.  I still feel the joy from their day and pray that God blesses their marriage in all the years to come.
