Engagement Pictures at Purdue University West Lafayette Campus | Paul and Carrie

Paul and Carrie chose to have their engagement pictures taken where they met and also where they will be having their wedding:

West Lafayette Campus

Purdue University holds a very special place in their hearts.

More specifically, St. Thomas Aquinas on the campus of Purdue University.

Paul and Carrie met at St. Thomas while they were both students at Purdue. They remain very active and involved at St. Thomas as they have settled into their professional careers and still living in West Lafayette. They are both part of the music ministry.

Paul and Carrie’s relationship was formed on a strong base of faith and friendship before they ever even started dating. Their foundation is strong and they are now looking forward to their future as husband and wife living in the blessing of marriage as God created it to be.

They wanted to start their engagement photo session at St. Thomas before moving on to the Purdue campus and then ending at Celery Bog Park. Each of these three places has been a key location where their relationship has grown, and where they have created memories.

Paul and Carrie will be getting married in June of 2025.

Their wedding mass will be held at St. Thomas Aquinas and their reception at the beautiful Purdue Union.

3 Tips for choosing locations for engagement pictures-

3 Engagement Photo Location Selection Tips:

1) Choose a location for engagement pictures that is very special to you! Just like Paul and Carrie chose to have their pictures at St Toms, Purdue, and Celery Bog Park.

2) Choose a location that you just love! Do you love a country setting or prefer an urban environment? Have your engagement pictures taken in a setting you enjoy and feel comfortable in. TJ and Destiny chose to have their engagement photos taken at a beautiful family-owned rural property.

3) Have your engagement pictures taken at the same venue you will be getting married. This allows both you and your photographer to become more familiar with the property and gain inspiration for wedding day photos.

During Paul and Carie’s engagement photo session, we worked our way from the inside of St. Tom’s church to Purdue campus and ended at Celery Bog Park. During their session, we took a variety of posed and interactive pictures.

Having a blend of traditional poses along with movement and interactive photo prompts is a good way to get authentic smiles and emotions.

Paul and Carrie absolutely loved the interactive prompts and really had a great time together- and it shows in their photos! They were relaxed and there to have a good time.

Engagement pictures are all about celebrating this special time as a couple while they are preparing for their big wedding day!  Engagement pictures celebrate the love and joy that they have for and with each other.

Engagement photo sessions are also a good way to practice getting your picture taken so that on the wedding day picture time goes very smooth and fast!  Engagement sessions can be more relaxed and go at a slower pace.  Wedding day picture taking is under a strict timeline.  It is very helpful for the wedding day to have already practiced the poses with engagement pictures.

Paul and Carrie’s Engagement photo session was very fun!

They have such a chemistry between them and they were relaxed and enjoyed this experience together.
