This Spring Wedding at The Blessing Barn, Lafayette Indiana is where Ray and Catherine became Husband and Wife.
Ray and Catherine chose 4-24-24 as their special wedding date, broke tradition, and held their intimate, family-only wedding on a beautiful Wednesday! I love that they chose their date and didn’t need their wedding on a weekend. I think that a Wednesday wedding worked perfectly!
Their wedding had a fairytale theme based on Beauty and the Beast. The focus of their wedding was on their love for each other and their relationship with their families. Family means everything to Ray and Catherine. Ray’s best man was his brother and Catherine’s maid of honor was her sister. Both mothers participated in the sand ceremony and Catherine’s Father gave them a blessing as he prayed over them during their wedding ceremony.
Dinner was very delicious Middle Eastern food prepared by the groom’s family. The meal was very much enjoyed and the excitement and celebration for the new Mr. and Mrs. was exuberant.
After dinner, the wedding reception featured the Bride and Groom’s first dance, the Bride and Father dance, and the Mother and Groom Dance. Dancing was enjoyed by all and toasts and best wishes to the Bride and Groom abounded. From best man to grandmother and many others in between the words of love and blessings flowed.
Their beautiful cake featured Beauty and the Beast and was made of layers of red velvet and strawberry!
This Spring Wedding at the Blessing Barn, Lafayette was a very special day that I know will be treasured for years to come!
The Blessing Barn is the perfect venue for intimate and small weddings. Ray and Catherine chose to hold both their ceremony and reception inside. They set up the ceremony decore so beautifully and while the bride and groom were getting their couple pictures taken the family was able to put up tables for the reception and get everything transitioned smoothly.
The Blessing Barn has a very nice getting ready room upstairs for the ladies. Catherine was able to use this room for her special time with her family as they got ready for the wedding.
Outdoors the Blessing barn features many great areas for pictures. On of their features is a bridge that crosses over a little creek. There is an outdoor ceremony area across the bridge for those who might wish to have an outdoor wedding.
The Bride and Groom were absolutely stunning and just glowing with their love for one another.

Weddings are like ice cream- Say what? Every wedding (the ice cream) is the joining of a man and a woman into husband and wife. Every wedding is a different “flavor” of ice cream created by the uniqueness of the couple and their created wedding day. I will say, I very much enjoyed this intimate, love-filled, family-focused wedding day.
