Wedding at the Blossom Barn, Lafayette Indiana : Mr. And Mrs. Waibel

Mr. and Mrs. Waibel’s fall wedding at the Blossom Barn, near Lafayette Indiana-

Colby and Cassandra celebrated their marriage with family and friends on Saturday, October 21, 2023, at the beautiful Blossom Barn just outside of Lafayette, Indiana.  The love that they have for each other shined all day long.

While Cassy and Colby have actually been married since their civil marriage service in May of 2022, they wanted to celebrate with their family and friends.  You see, Cassy is a US Airman with the United States Air Force.  They got married in San Antonio Texas on the day she graduated from basic training.  However, friends and family were not there to celebrate with them and they really wanted to have a wedding back home in Indiana!

Mr. And Mrs. Waibel chose to renew their vows and celebrate their marriage at the Blossom Barn Venu located near Mulberry, Indiana, just south of Lafayette.  The Blossom Barn is a gorgeous historic 1930 dairy barn that has been renovated into a bright and beautiful wedding venue that accommodates up to 265 guests.  The interior of the barn is a photographer’s dream with the big windows and white-washed walls and ceiling.

The upstair loft features an entire wall of windows and is a fabulous place to take pictures.  It was a bit of a “breezy” day outside so we decided to do pictures inside.  The Blossom Barn’s beauty was on full display!  The barn interior worked perfectly for pictures.  This is not always the case at venues.

Cassy and Colby chose to do a “first look” in order to spend more time together throughout the wedding day. Deciding to do or not to do a first look is a big decision. By doing a first look they were able to enjoy so much more time together soaking in the moments of their special day. The Blossom Barn loft worked as a perfect location for them to share this private moment together. (Here is a blog post highlighting 5 reasons to do a first look on your wedding day)

Following the first look, we were able to capture their wedding portraits. The love they have for each other radiates! They also like to have FUN together. Colby and Cassy have already shared a lot of life together and it shows in the maturity of their relationship. Their love has a depth that is developed by doing life together.

The day started off chilly, but by ceremony time it was sunny and warm, even though breezy.  Cassy and Colby renewed their vows in an outdoor ceremony.  They chose to do their ceremony in the flower garden with the adorable porch attached to the chicken coop as the backdrop. Have you ever seen such an adorable chicken coop?

Mr. & Mrs. Waibel were also joined in celebration by their (almost) 5-month-old Daughter, Seraphina.  She is so precious and was absolutely adorable! While she won’t remember the day, Cassy was so excited to have her there and to get pictures with her.  As she grows up Seraphina will be able to enjoy the pictures of this celebration that included her as a baby.

Their wedding day ended with a gorgeous sunset, perfect for sunset pictures!  God gave them a gift only He could give them- A sunburst in their silhouette picture.  The sunburst picture (see below) seems to me like a visual representation of God’s love shining through them that will hold their marriage together and thriving!

Mr. And Mrs. Waibel's fall wedding at the Blossom Barn Venu was absolutely wonderful.  The venue staff was a dream to work with and the barn couldn’t be more gorgeous, inside and out.

Congratulations to Mr. & Mrs. Waibel!

And- Thank you, Cassandra, for serving our country as a US Air Force Airman!

Enjoy these pictures! A glimpse into their entire special day from getting ready thru reception!
