Indiana's fall weather is a mix of summerlike and cool weather days. Fortunately, for the Uekwitz Family, their session date fell on a day of beautiful summerlike weather. It was a perfect day to capture both fall colors and fun in the Wildcat Creek water.

It was an honor for me to take family pictures of the Uerkwitz Family, yet again! I have now been Photographing their family each year for several years! I don’t take it lightly that they give me their trust year after year to capture pictures of their family!

We started out the family photo session by capturing pictures of each child individually and then together. Sayde had chosen two different outfits for the kids. The first set of outfits helped us create fun vintage-style themed creek pictures. We took some pictures out of the water followed by water pictures.

Sayde is absolutely the BEST at choosing themes and outfits!

She should start a business helping families create photo themes. :) Her vintage creek theme is wonderful!

A quick change of clothes for family pictures, a few more dry pictures, and then it was time for the water! FUN was definitely had! Playing in the water with Mom and Dad will be great memories these kids have. Reliving all the fun when they look at pictures will be a treasure for years to come.

As a mom, I so value the pictures I have of myself with my children. Too often as moms, we are the ones taking the pictures and we don’t have very many with our kids. At every session, I try hard to get pictures of Moms with their kids! I get Dads with the kids, too, but when I look at these pictures of Sayde with her children my heart just feels all the mom emotions!

When I take family photos I make sure to get some pictures of just

Mom and Dad together.

I believe in marriage and want to celebrate the marriage relationship with some special pictures of the couple! Having FUN together as a couple is so important. Playing together, dancing together, and laughing together are such keys to a happy relationship. I love capturing these things in pictures. Sayde and Jake are just absolute naturals in front of the camera- and Jake even spontaneously dipped Sayde into a perfect dip kiss without any prompting! I think they have a modeling career on the side that they keep secret! Lol!

The Uerkwitz Family made lots of memories during this fun session and with pictures they were able to freeze time to be enjoyed for all the years to come. Children are only this age once! Freezing time with pictures is an investment that becomes more and more valuable with time. I would love to have pictures like this with my kids when they were little! Now, they are all grown up and the memories are only in my heart- I wish I had pictures like these to enjoy!
